Plaza de Armas

Currently the Plaza de Armas saves around other architectural beauties that make this all a nice place to look at. The fountain and surrounding palm trees make an awesome photo frame.

Monastery of Santa Catalina

This place is characterized by a colonial appeal that has more than four centuries old. This place has works of art, paintings, monasteries, courtyards, towers and squares that make the visit a remarkable experience.

San Lazaro neighborhood

It is known for its old and narrow streets where old houses stand decorated with pots of geraniums and different flowers on its facade. It is located five blocks away from the Plaza de Armas and it has the typical custom of preparing special bread made of wheat and cooked over a wood fire.

The gastronomy of Arequipa is considered one of the most representative, diverse and exquisite of Peru. Some of the main dishes are: rocoto relleno, soltero de queso, ocopa and greaves.

Colca Canyon

It’s located in the extreme of northeast of Arequipa region, 165km from Arequipa. The highest point of the valley is the inactive volcano Ampato (6288 masl) and the lowest is the confluence of the rivers Colca and Andamayo (970 masl). Here you can perform different activities such as adventure sports, the experience of tourism in native communities and the contemplation of nature in all its glory

Yanahuara District

This place has a church that is the most representative when we refer to mixed style architecture and we can see that in their houses and traditional streets. The view is breathtaking and it’s very close to the historic center of Arequipa.

Mirador de la Cruz del Colca

This emblematic viewpoint it’s located in the Colca Valley in Arequipa. From here you can appreciate how depth the canyon is, vegetation and the magical flight of the condors
